The Hobbit, Guitars, and Christmas

I know, I know.  I have failed.  I just thought I'd start writing a bit now that some things have happened.

We (the family and I) saw The Hobbit two days ago.  It was pretty awesome, and even though my mom is the only who reads my blog, I don't think I'll give any spoilers away.  I haven't read the book yet, and it makes me mad at myself for seeing the movie first. Oh well, I've got a YEAR to finish the book before the next part. . .  I still can't believe the Directors, Producers and whatever are making us wait so long. So, so long.

One of my goals this year is to read The Hobbit, and the Lord of the Rings series before my Birthday in March.  Actually, it was a goal set by my mom for me, but it's still a goal. Also, I'd like to read them before my brother finishes the books.

Christmas was awesome.  No one was sick. Although I kept waking up in the middle of the night.  I didn't know what to expect to get for Christmas, because there wasn't a specific thing I wanted like a Bike, or a Gameboy or something.  I got a camera though!  But not the cameras that you can buy for fifteen dollars at the Checkout line in Walmart.  It was a nice one!  But my favorite part of Christmas was probably when my brother got his guitar.

It's a really nice guitar apparently, and also it's the same guitar that Brian May (the guitar dude in Queen) used in a video.  I don't care if it's a popular guitar style or whatever, it's still epic!

He wanted to start writing songs right then (with me playing the out of tune piano with him).  It's a cool idea to start a band, but I don't really want to write songs.  Maybe just a tribute band.  And a band is a cool idea when you're a kid still.
